Are we still doing movie rankings?

1. Logan

2. Dunkirk

3. Split

4. Get Out

5. Baby Driver

6. The Lego Batman Movie

Those are the only movies I've seen this year. I liked them all except Lego Batman.

Lego Batman is bad. The rest of those are good (to varying degrees) good taste

@WrathOfHan any interesting updates about your theater? I believe I have read here somewhere they have switched The Hitman's Bodyguard to the biggest screen? They are wise.

Let's see:

THB is performing at very high levels. Keep in mind the auditorium switch doesn't take effect until tomorrow, and they have it alternating back and forth in an average auditorium and the 4th smallest during the week to maximize showtimes.

LL's shows have ranged from 25-40 tickets with the main show tonight being on the low end. Overall it's probably flat with yesterday.

Leap capped out around 25 tickets I think.

Annabelle sold great in the late afternoon and evening, and the show in about 70 minutes has sold just under 30 tickets.

Nut Job is holding very well; most shows were in the 20s with the main show tonight being in high 30s.

GT has been in the mid to high 20s in the afternoon and evening; the morning show only sold 2 tickets though.

I can't get to the Dunkirk URLs, but I believe it was selling in the high teens/low 20s when I checked this afternoon.

SMH sold 20-30 seats for all of its shows.

Apes increased A LOT out of nowhere. Like, several shows were in the high teens and low 20s.

Emoji was selling in the 20s for its earlier shows, but I can't find the later shows' URLs.

TDT has been selling high singles to low teens for pretty much all of its showings.

Atomic Blonde is definitely the weakest seller today. When I checked earlier, it wasn't selling a whole lot.

Good taste but #casual taste.  he needs to see more arthouse flicks like Transformers: The Last Knight and he better be anticipating that foreign movie Justice League.

The Dark Tower is dead. Not even the lack of competition saved it.

Good to know that overall it seems it has been a solid Saturday.

Had to copy paste an old list out of laziness, seeing either Logan Lucky or Hitman's Bodyguard tonight.

Saw Hitman's Bodyguard. It was charming and funny but it felt like a normal typical buddy movie to me at least.

I think had Lionsgate not screwed up the marketing, The Hitman's Bodyguard could have done another $5-10m on its OW.

Agreed 100%. The best parts of the film are Ryan and Sam.

They needed to showcase their chemistry more in the marketing.

New Beauty & The Beast was surprisingly good. Get Out & Logan I really liked. Girls Trip was hilarious! All Eyez On Me, Going In Style, and Baywatch were just ok. Fifty Shades Darker is an ok time waster. DM3, Captain Underpants, Rough Night, Fate Of The Furious,A Cure For Wellness, and Split I liked.Chips wasn't bad but not amazing. But Snatched minus Goldie Hawn/Amy Schumer's chemistry the film didn't snatch me. The House, The Bye Bye Man, and Sleepless sucked.

The action while good, should have been used less in the marketing in favour of the comedy. I disliked this poster because it makes it look like a normal action film:

whereas The Bodyguard spoof poster and this one which was used in the UK marketing:

capture the tone of the movie better.

The Bodyguard Spoof poster was sooooo good lol

But yea the marketing for it was all over the place. Like they had the honest guys voice one of their trailers but then the poster (Orange one) just doesn't capture that tone or the tone of the first trailer

How do you guys think this would work? Like how would Movie pass not lose money? Also does anyone know when you can officially sign up for it?

http://www.businessinsider.com/moviepass-lets-you-go-to-all-the-movies-you-want-for-just-10-a-month-2017-8?utm_content=buffer25e0e&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer-entertainment

Supposedly, Moviepass is planning to monetize (more) through the data business. This $10/month subscription essentially seems like a way to build their customer base and get their name out there even more than it is (which isn't much beyond the film community, so far).
