Movies that make 1.2B and are hated by 49% of the audience just doesn't happen. if it was hated it wouldn't have put up the number it did, even if you say it underperformed what people expected it to make.

People were always saying it's purposely bad but it's a good song in it's own right!

even the dude who wrote them said it's meant to be a good song. plus, stone is not confused because she thinks it's a bad song, she's confused/sad because that's not what gosling character wanted for him.

Jumanji will be one of the most underrated box office runs in years. Because it started in the shadow of TLJ, and now the media (including film websites) are focusing on awards or next year's blockbusters.

I think Jumanji's run will be plenty appreciated.

The Greatest Showman, on the other hand, is more likely to be overshadowed. It's kind of nuts how well it's recovered.

Everyone is going crazy over Jumanji and The Greatest Showman - and for very good reason, one may challenge 400 fucking million while the other may be the 1st 3000 theater release to have a 10x multiplier from its 5-day opening - and I'm just sitting here being like: "Insidious' hold actually wasn't half bad, for a horror fourthquel with mediocre/average reviews in January. It was a smaller drop than Underworld and Resident Evil from last year, and those had more neutered openings."

I said from the start everyone was overpredicting TLJ and it came to pass.

2019  WW2 > SW9 club is a winner

Lmao.

WW2 is not increasing.

The first one had unbelievable legs.

The second will have a slightly bigger OW then have typical blockbuster drops.

Wait, you still can't see the same movie twice? If so that completely takes out a TON of the potential inflation it could have on a movie.

Wow you’re right I just confirmed didn’t even realize they removed that restriction!
