Jumanji will be one of the most underrated box office runs in years. Because it started in the shadow of TLJ, and now the media (including film websites) are focusing on awards or next year's blockbusters.

I think Jumanji's run will be plenty appreciated.

 

The Greatest Showman, on the other hand, is more likely to be overshadowed. It's kind of nuts how well it's recovered.

Everyone is going crazy over Jumanji and The Greatest Showman - and for very good reason, one may challenge 400 fucking million while the other may be the 1st 3000 theater release to have a 10x multiplier from its 5-day opening - and I'm just sitting here being like: "Insidious' hold actually wasn't half bad, for a horror fourthquel with mediocre/average reviews in January. It was a smaller drop than Underworld and Resident Evil from last year, and those had more neutered openings."
