Really? I thought that was it. Although I haven't kept up with the discussion that much.

I've gotten the impression the casino plot and Holdo is what pisses them all off the most; Luke dying is "annoying" but even haters seem to like the Rey/Kylo/Luke plot in it

As I said before I think this is going to bounce from the nosedive it was taking.  Tomorrow will be a big day.  It has retained 56%+ all Friday on MT.  That's not the "end all be all" but movies landing with a thud relinquish % fast on Friday.  This is not doing that - and Sat/Sun/Mon (,esp Sat) was always going to be the best days for it.  I think it'll get to 130s for the 4day after all.  Send me your laughing emojis...

It’s certainly more realistic than Han’s projections

Everyone knows Han dies in TFA, so I can see a lot of memorializing of the character; I'm thinking a slight drop to $69M on Monday.

If Rth's $37-40M range proves to be where the Friday number falls, then I will prematurely toot my own horn in having projected $35-40M based on the preview gross and surmised it wouldn't be quite as frontloaded as Rogue One. I was way off on Deadpool last week, so I gotta do it when I can :P

A $37-40M Friday means that preview grosses represent 35.2-38.1% of opening day - still more frontloaded than your typical film, but it would be the smallest share of opening day from previews of the Disney Star Wars films.

Peace,

Mike
