Just now, WrathOfHan said:

Joker and Jungle Cruise have to be getting IMAX

They have mentioned the following

The Company remains in active negotiations with all of the major Hollywood studios for additional films to fill out its short and long-term film slate, and anticipates that the number of IMAX DMR films to be released to the IMAX theater network in 2018 will be similar to the 60 IMAX DMR films released to the IMAX theater network in 2017.

Mortal Engines will only be getting IMAX for a week. Alita and Aquaman currently sharing, will probably be adjusted based on tracking and box office. Mortal Engines is in a horrible release slot now, loses all IMAX and PLF within a week before it ever hits the holiday stretch.

I do wonder if Ralph 2 gets IMAX the week after release like Coco.

61 is pretty solid for MI:6, it's a consistent franchise at this point.  I feel "Skyfall" is probably the ceiling for the Spy-Genre domestically and globally.  But this is the best unadjusted opening in the franchise.   "Rogue Nation" stayed flat from "Ghost Protocol" with it's domestic and global totals.  So this one should pull about the same numbers overall.  I don't think competition should effect it too much.   But Congrats to Tom for still hitting #1 after all these years making movies.  Decent for MM2, it's holding alright. EQ2 got hit obviously with sharing demos with Tom but let's see how it continues to hold.

As for "Teen Titans", they were smart with a minimal budget so they are obviously setting it up to recoup later playing on home video.  I was researching the Animation TV Box Office Chart and "Simpsons" still has the domestic crown with Spongbob, Mr. Peabody, Rugrats and Pokemon rounding out the Top 5.  Most of them didn't do that hot domestically when you go down the list too.  Again 8 out of 10 movies are sequels, crazy, we are watching history with these last two weeks.   "Skycraper" had a nice international bump last week but is still stalling domestically.  Jurassic 5 and I2 are both near their 400 and 600 Milestones.  AntMan2 is crawling to 200 but will be able to get there.   Hotel T again is just a consistent franchise and now all 3 films combine for over 1 Billion Globally.  July was a pretty good let's see how August finishes out the summer.

In the U.K. we got Rampage instead of Incredibles. They might have swapped them.

Top Gun: Maverick is such a mistake. Like Tron and Blade Runner, Top Gun should be left in the 80s. Don't get me wrong, Blade Runner 2049 was great, but it still flopped. IMAX or not, TG: M will flop.

The key difference however is that Top Gun was a giant hit. Tron and Blade Runner were not.

I doubt it flops. Might not really be a hit either.
