lorddemaxus
So not one shot like it was rumored to be. Looks nice but not as interested as I was before.

Because it's not one shot? Seems like that would be pretty gimmicky. Looks good regardless.

Why do you say that? Because the trailer has multiple cuts? The trailer is not the film. In order to show different parts of the film in the space of 2 minutes it has to edit the film... The cinematography in the trailer does give that sweeping effect like the revenant. Edited August 1, 2019 by Avatree
titanic2187
Feel like an epic, hope the rushed production don't dilute the movie quality.... But honestly, this look so oscar bait

Very obvious shot reverse shots used here.

The framing would be quite different if the dialogue sequences were part of one long take and the positioning of the characters would be different too (they wouldn't be facing directly opposite each other). The camera is behind two characters and then in front of them in that sequence with Colin Firth and that happens twice in that same sequence. Hard to see that being achieved with one long shot. They could have just reshot the sequence using a shot reverse shot just for the trailer but I don't see why they would do that. I'm honestly thinking this will be more like The Revenant and Cuaron films than Birdman (will have sequences of long shots but the entire film will not create the illusion of being one long shot). CoolioD1
you'd have to maneuver the actors sure but it's not unobtainable.
