Ghostbusters: Afterlife | November 19 2021 | Sony | Delayed again

So, I saw the trailer tonight on Free Guy and I swear it said this was releasing "Thanksgiving" (no date, though) - did Sony change that, or is Sony getting ready for another shuffle this fall?

The trailer on YouTube only said "November exclusively on theaters".

So no date even online. Maybe your mind get tricked, seems weird changing November to Thanksgiving considering it's November anyway.

I looked at all the current Thanksgiving releases and didn't get any of those trailers tonight...and, I remember seeing the word "Thanksgiving" posted on screen and hearing "take your family this Thanksgiving"...now, you can still do that with their release date of Nov 11, but I'd think you'd do that even more in the actual Thanksgiving release date (that Encanto has)...

Maybe I was dreaming, but my spouse seems to remember it, too...

Edit to add: The trailers we got were Shang Chi, Dear Evan Hansen, Jackass 4, Ghostbusters, The King's Man, and The Many Saints of Newark...probably would have had more, but they broke in the beginning and I had to get the manager to turn them on:)...

So, it got closer to Thanksgiving:)...if Encanto moves, I think it may jump the extra 5 days...

Guess the trailer last night was signaling they wanted to be closer to the holiday:)...

Encanto will be simultaneous in Disney+ PA for sure.

“I want to thank you all for hanging in for 40 years,” said producer Ivan Reitman to the those in the hall. The Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 filmmaker regaled a crowd on how son Jason Reitman pitched him an idea for a story in the universe which knocked him out.
