Still not seeing much marketing here in the US. Hoping it picks up but damn they need to jumpstart this asap

Maybe WB strategy is focus on leg, instead of opening box office.

You may see Tenet marketing running throughout the season, and not a one-two huge punch like standard blockbuster.

You're in for a treat. This is Nolan's magnum opus. I think perhaps his best film since The Prestige. IMO of course.

btw it was a joy to watch a movie on a screen that's actually bigger than the one in my house even under current circumstances.

Sorry but this reads like your typical fake reaction on reddit.

This user always sees movies early (I think they're in the industry). Take it as legit. Whether you end up agreeing with them is another matter.

I read in another forum that he is not trustworthy, and nothing personal but it's just a half-assed reaction.

Either way I was pretty confident about this but motherfucker ViewerAnon had to say something.

It sounds to me like you're dismissing one (positive) opinion and putting stock into another (negative) one.

Which might indicate some bias from you...

If you truly need to judge this based on other people's opinions - reviews are dropping in like 8 hours. Just wait till then?

That implies he hasn't seen it, lol.

And "bite off more than it can chew" is often used against Nolan when he gets criticized for too much exposition, or cold characters, etc. It's all down to who is expressing the opinion.

It definitely looks like you're looking for a reason to be negative. If so...again, just wait a few hours. If it does have shit reviews, I'm sure you'll have your pick to support that view, lol.

Vieweranon has usually been pretty bad at predicting what critics and audiences will think of a movie.

It also says he HEARD - implying he hasn't seen it. So it's not even his personal opinion.

Like, this is such a ridiculous conversation, lol. Give it a few more hours and we'll have more info.

They're probably just pissed off he didn't praise their favorite superhero movie. He (rightly) laid into Jurassic World before opening as I recall and some on here had a go at him. Again, you may not end up agreeing with him but there's no reason to think he hasn't seen it.

I predict Tenet will get 81 on MC and 93% on RT. Nolan's highest rated movie on Metacritic is Dunkirk with 94 and on RT The Dark Knight with 94% approval rating.  although my favorite Nolan movies (Prestige/Interstellar) are more rated in the 70s/60s.

I have been more interested in World War movies recently so I feel like I should give Dunkirk a rewatch. it's the only 2010s Nolan movie that didn't impress me much on first watch.

Personally, I expect Interstellar-level reviews.

I also anticipate a bit of a split between UK/international/blogs and mainstream US critics.

I wouldn't mind Interstellar reviews, if I like the movie as much as I liked Interstellar. However, for it to be as successful as it can be in these conditions, its reception HAS to be higher, especially with the public.

We'll see reviews soon, and I'm eagerly anticipating my IMAX experience next Wed. :)
