The novel was Sakurazaka's breakthrough science fiction novel, earning wide praise from fellow novelists including Yasutaka Tsutsui and Chōhei Kanbayashi and was entered in contention for the Seiun Awards. The book was published in Japanese by Shueisha under their Super Dash Bunko imprint in December 2004, and was later released in English by Viz Media under their Haikasoru imprint. All You Need Is Kill follows a soldier named Keiji Kiriya, who, after dying in a battle with extraterrestrials, is caught in a time loop that makes him live the same day repeatedly, allowing Kiriya to improve his fighting skills. A manga adaptation, written by Ryōsuke Takeuchi and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine between January and May 2014 and was also published by Viz Media in its Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. In November 2014, the Viz translation was released in a collected edition that included the entire series. A graphic novel adaptation was released in North America in May 2014. A film adaptation from director Doug Liman starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, titled Edge of Tomorrow, was released on May 30, 2014. The English-language film tie-in edition of the novel also uses this title. Edited July 29, 2019 by TalismanRing

I know people laugh reacted to this, but it’s a good point. I get lists all of the time that include films you might be surprised by. Clarifying which version of a movie you mean by giving the year (even if it seems silly) helps me out a lot.

AndyK
I don't really have a top 30, only a few rise above mediocre for me. My top 5 would probably be..... 1- Wonder Woman 2- The Dark Night. 3- Iron Man 4- Spider Man 5- Spider Man 2 6- Deadpool. Updated, added Deadpool. Of course it's locked. It was locked from the moment this thread was created. Have you seen the size of the Nolanboner this forum has? They may not be as attention-seeking as the Cameron fans, but what they lack in volume, they make up for in voting overhyped Nolan and Nolan-adjacent movies to the Number 1 spot in Best of Year lists. I mean, Jesus, The Dark Knight Rises won our 2012 list... twice! 1 1

chasmmi
Hopefully oldboy puts up a fight, but as 11 comic book films a year keep getting released, the fight is infinitely harder than with previous lists.

There are other really really really good ones but for me The dark Knight is just a step above.
