Have to drag out my DVD of "The Vikings" , (the 1958 Kirk Douglas movie) still the best of all the Viking epics.

Seems like people are getting test screening invites for this. Honestly, kinda weird to do test screenings for a movie like this.

Well it's out of contention for this year's awards, but it should still be a great film and I'm glad they've figured out a release date for it!

With it getting test screenings, I had a feeling that this would be more of a commercial studio film than Eggers previous films and I feel like the release date confirms it.

There are non-spoiler comments on reddit from people who saw it and they all say it's more Braveheart, as in accessible, and less Eggers other work or The Green Knight, as in inaccessible. So boxoffice should be good. Scarsgaard is the MVP, Anya gets naked, everyone does a great job. That's in the nutshell.
