And why didnt they send a Terminator to a time before Judgement Day, when her birthplace was surely known by human authorities, so that Terminator could find it out and eliminate her?

The Terminator franchise was always absolutely nonsensical when it comes to its time travel (and to be fair, nearly every time travel movie is).

I'm not a big fan of time travel stories either. Just kind of have to not think about that aspect of the story very much.

Didn't they do that in Genisys and then the resistance sent one to save her as well. Time travel logic is weird.

Honestly, it would have probably helped the franchise to not have a straightforward "Skynet bad, humans good" storyline.

Making a murky plot might give you a chance to live in both a lower budget and a less obvious movie plotline.  Something about Skynet coming back to stop the release of a virus which both kills its original human creators...but also kills all of its original human enemies...and wipes out 3/4 of humanity in one go...and Skynet needing to convince its future enemies to work with them for the sake of humanity and itself...and seeing what those humans decide and how,,,

Is this the first franchise to have a trilogy of failed reboots?

Four failed reboots

Terminator 3 got the farthest since it got a sequel with Salvation but Salvation flopped and  ended that one

then we had Sarah Connor Chronicles which got cancelled

then Genisys, and now Dark Fate

Don't forget T2-3D: Battle Across Time which is technically a sequel to Terminator 2.

Still running in Japan tho so it ain't dead like the others just yet.

How is it a win when it's opening in China isn't doing well and when it is under performing overseas in general?

Win as in won't lose as much Dark Phoenix. Will still lose money though. Can't see how a net loser is a win. Pretty much ever.
