I found him annoying, like a parody of a MCU quip happy character but the satire part was lost in translation and out of context.

 

(imagine if Frank Drebin was in a straight face film noir/police procedural.)

They should've just done a Flash origin movie instead. Don't try to "correct" the DC universe mistakes with a flashpoint movie, just move on that's all.
