Close enough.. To be honest, i think if you have told me last year the last Daniel Craig bond will come out 1 week before HK, and the latter will be a simultaneous streaming release - I would have not imagined them to be even close in terms of OW.

HK nearing 50m is huge.

2nd: Bohemian Rhapsody- 51m

May 10: Detective Pikachu- 54.3m

May 17: John Wick- 56.8m

May 24: Aladdin- 91.5m

May 31: Godzilla- 47.7m

June 7 2019: Secret Life of Pets- 46.5m

 

July 19: Lion King- 191.7m

July 26: Once Upon Time in Hollywood- 41m

These are the other 2 close weekend streaks. Too bad Eternals couldn't be the 29th

It would have done more at my location (MUCH more) if it wasn’t for our capacity restrictions, and the fact that it “sold out” all the theatres it could.

So after falling behind Free Guy on the 6th weekend, SC might be able to reclaim the 8th weekend record here against FG’s 2.26M. Will have to see how showtimes hold vs Dune and Ron, but its PSA* looks quite decent going off the @katnisscinnaplex nums (which are awesome)!

 

So I would expect a strong hold.   
 

Will lose 9th weekend to Croods 2… but may be able to claim 10th if it’s boosted by Eternals?

 

*Not actual PSA, gross/sample showtimes.

Biggest news of weekend? I don’t think. 
 

Also, guessing Halloween Kills’ weekend estimate will be $50.5m with a 41%+ Sunday drop.
