I did start the run slightly early and so final number should be few % more plus I am missing few shows. But final week did underperform may be due to long run time. General audience would wait for weekend and holidays to see it, Let us see how the run goes. 

 

Alpha/MTC1 is around 250Kish /4.5m. So overall previews should be around 16m or so.

I agree it's a dump, but...it seems like it's gonna be a very upbeat movie, and that may be welcome from the demo it's targeting (and really to everyone)...timing can sometimes be everything...

Tickets for A Man Called Otto are now on sale. Looks like it's going to be receiving a pretty significant expansion on January 6 before its "wide" release on the 13th.

I have not seen a TV spot yet   However I have seen hundreds of TV spots for Avatar, about 10 for Puss in Boots and about 4 for Babylon.  It's disappointing...  For sure Sony is keeping the marketing budget low compared to those other movies, and I'm sure the production budget is lower too, so I guess it will need less box office to be profitable.  Hopefully it will still have a good debut and good legs.

Just wanted to take a quick time out to say, WELL DONE TRACKING TEAM (once again).

 

We had a particularly tough challenge with the ATP adjustment and, collectively I feel, we nailed it.

 

Whether the number was "really" 16.7 or 17.2 and Disney rounded it in either direction is neither here nor there.  We pretty much centered on 17m and that's exactly what it was.

 

Take a bow, everyone, I think we deserve it!
