The difficulty is trying to increase their size so they're Dire Wolf size, and then making them look real.  It's harder to make a realistic looking animal that we can see in real life versus a realistic animal we've never actually seen (dragons)

I guess the online complaining about "crappy FX" in various movies has them nervous.   I would rather have them in the show even if it didn't look perfect than not have them at all.

Plus animating fur is a lot harder than scales and the like.

That's why I wondered why they don't just use real dogs/wolves and put them into the scenes that way.   Sounds a lot easier than putting a dragon in there.

IIRC, they did use real wolves. But those wolves can't be moved out of Canada so it makes it a real pain to schedule them in.

Plus, at this point the Dire Wolves need to be twice the size of a real one.  As much as I'd like to see more Dire Wolves on the show, I'll be okay as long as they throw in a few moments for the remaining two to shine  before the end.

Ive reached the point of acceptance the Wolves will never get as much exposure as the dragons.

F*cking twitter. Fell upon a very spoilery gif this morning so I watched the episode just to be safe. I'll wait till monday to watch it with better image/sound. The video is fine for a laptop but the image gets very choppy in a HD TV screen.

Watched the episode. It may as well be my favorite of the series. It's like Battle of the Bastards and Winds of Winter had a love child. Action packed yet character driven.Game of Thrones is what every movie blockbuster should aspire to be.WB better give them a far bigger budget for the final season.

I knew I couldnt be the only one that thought this guy's armour was too big for him. Apparently they recast him from the last time we saw him, I'm guessing the armour was fitted for the last actor who then had to pull out last minute.

I still liked him, small head and all. Made more of a mark than the old guy, at least. He was good in Black Sails. Doubt they made the armour for the old guy, since he was smaller than the new actor.

Plus I still laugh everytime I read Dickon.
