different kasdan but honestly on a structural/screenplay level i'm pretty certain this guy's contributions weren't a factor in that.

I imagine Disney will simply move up the Marvel film they have for the end of July. Give Spielberg time to do West Side Story, the Mortara film and maybe even Blackhawk

Jon Kasdan has little to do with Solo's bombing. I liked Solo the best out of the new Star Wars films so I'm actually ok with this.

Solo is one of the few recent blockbusters with almost no fat at all. Everything drives the plot or the character arcs forward. It's box office situation isn't on the screenplay.

And that might be the problem: it moves forward so fast it does not pause to get you interested and involved with the charecters.

Of course I think that George Clooney was right when he said a good script its the foundation for any good film, but even with a really good script there are a million way you can still screw it up.

The first 30 minutes was fat for me. I was almost asleep.
