I mean, it's about as good as anything I could expect from a movie called Captain freaking Underpants

 

That being said, this should have come out about 10 years ago; these books were literally the bible to kids my age in grade 1/2

The animation is being done by Mikros, a Canadian animation studio rather than at Glendale so I assume it's DWA dipping their toes into potentially fully outsourcing the animation of their films
