Overall though this looks abysmal.  It looks like Dreamworks has entered it's Chicken Little era.  Cheap and stupid.

I still think this looks bad, although I admit my perception is likely tainted by the fact this got greenlit and Croods 2 got axed It was one of their bigger surprise hits and the 2 leads are both peaking in their careers after LLL and Deadpool. Grrr.

We're not the target demo for it, that's why.

 

I think it'll do well. DWA films have a decent track record anyways

Interesting thing is.....this is Alec Baldwin's third Dreamworks-animated film he's been in.

 

I honestly don't find him voicing a baby, that shocking at all. I mean, he voiced a lion named Makunga (the main villain in Madagascar 2), and also the Santa Claus himself...North, in Rise of the Guardians. What's gonna be different about this role?

 

So i don't find Alec Baldwin voicing the baby here, that surprising, nor shocking. I think Alec Baldwin can be good at voicing an unusual kind of character. Wherever be the Santa Claus, a lion or a baby.
