Mission: Impossible - Fallout | July 27 2018 | Paramount | Reactions coming in | "Best action movie since Fury Road"

Recommended Posts

This FUCKING movie!! :ohmygod::ohmygod::ohmygod:

I thought there was no way this movie could live up to the hype based on the critic ratings. I was wrong. Lived up to if not surpassed my expectations. Great job by Mcquarrie and his crew. I’ll be checking out tomorrow again.

What “Fallout” primarily benefits from is how it isn’t just a latest installment where Ethan is doing a new mission, but it is the first actual continuation in a way where his actions in the previous film carry over into this, which raises the stakes for our characters, primarily Ethan.

Way back in 1969,Rex Reed panned Sam Peckinpah's "The Wild Bunch" as being a bunch of garbage. So Reed making a total Horse's Ass of himself is nothing new. I am puzzled as why this phony has lasted this long as a critic.

wow, what a legend critic, been active for half century since the 1960s. must be the oldest critic on RT.

This movie is why I go to the movies. Represents everything that's great about cinema. Exhilarating in IMAX!

I was just going to see a regular showing but with all the IMAX praise I'm going to have to convince my friends we need to go there. Won't be til next weekend but I'm looking forward to it.

Ghost protocol > Fallout > Rogue Nation

Great action sequences but nothing to top THAT scene in ghost protocol, nor does this beat Fury Road. Still, a solid 7.5/10 and worth seeing in true IMAX.

Unfortunately the sound editors turned down the cha-chung sound when Henry Caville was loading his fists.

That was pretty damn good. It barely stops.

I only managed to rewatch half of Ghost Protocol.

It took me 3 days to finish Rogue Nation. These films are pretty dull between the action.

Loved it. Just a treat to watch on the big screen too. What stood out to me is the character development of Ethan’s team, you really care what happens to them. Tom Cruise still has it. I hope they keep making these films, the last three have just been great action films getting better and better as time goes by. Watch it iMax too. Worth the money as it is quite the experience. This is my number 1 movie of the year.

I discovered I only had the first 4 in a BLU Ray box set and didn’t actually have Rogue Nation. It also wasn’t on any of the streaming services I have acces too.

At least with this one they cut all the scenes between the action sequences.

I wonder where they'll go with the next film, if it's released in 3 years time then it'll coincide with the 25th anniversary of the franchise.
