I wouldn't mind seeing this but can't juggle it into my time. Still haven't seen BR2049, time is just tight.

I feel regardless of how good this might be it's going to get lost in the shuffle between Thor and JL dominating the November box office.

Looks fun and should do really well as a counter-programming for older audience. Not my priority viewing but may see it if I have time and nothing else is deemed worth seeing multiple times.

Like I said, the most interesting thing about this film is how it is going to handle that a lot of the audience knows "whodunit" going in....

Good to hear that it's good. The 1974 movie was nominated for 6 oscars and won one. If this version gets oscar hype maybe it can do over 100M

I can't remember a non-franchise film that's been advertised this much in recent memory. Seriously, they've gone absolutely nuts marketing this in the UK.

Yea I hear ads for this all the time while driving, mostly on hip-hop stations actually. Makes sense, that stache could only be rocked by a true OG.

It's Agatha Christie, she's like one of the holy trinity of authors along with JK Rowling and Roald Dahl.

Whenever my parents have HGTV on, there's a strong chance an ad for this is playing. I really like how much Fox is marketing this

I'm almost wondering if this can be a surprise break out, even edging out Ragnarok for #1 on opening weekend. We could definitely have another IM3/Gatsby situation with this.

My mum considers any portrayal of Poirot that isn’t David Suchet to be an abomination. She probably isn’t going.

Still wanna wait for reviews. Glad Tele's friend enjoyed it but also had alot of bad signs for weeks too. Still up in the air. With 70+ on RT I can see a 35/100 type total as counterprogramming. Maybe even higher if it is truly great and not just a fun romp.

Not saying you're wrong, but what are the bad signs? I haven't been following this closely but it seemed like marketing/etc has been pretty effective.

There's been some negative musings for months and there's a couple of seriously negative reactions on the last page. I am very excited for this and have just as much reason to think it's good as bad. But when in doubt, expect bad.

 

Also the clips are pretty meh, but that's actually totally expected because clips are always terrible.
