Looked like Kong-lite to me and wasn't impressed much. But I like these creature features a lot so hoping it's good. DJ was charismatic as ever.

This is videogamey B-movie trash at its finest. Smashing Pumpkins Bullet With Butterfly Wings coming out of nowhere while a giant albino gorilla and a giant wolf rampage downtown Chicago GAVE ME LIFE! Like the unexpected Christmas gift I didn't know I wanted.

 

I liked that trailer way more than Ready Player One's.

I would think this could be the first good video game movie but then I remembered it's from the same team as the meh San Andreas so maybe not.

I do agree that San Andreas definitely has merit for what it is. I enjoyed it when I saw it, for sure.

I guess this really will be a starpower test. The Rock's presence is basically the only hook in what looks like a blatant Apes/Kong ripoff
