I don't get this. He has done a handful of both good and bad films. Its not like he has never done a good film before. Also, opinions. Everyone has them.

 

Also when a director does a bad film, or two or three are we suppose to forget about the good ones they did? 

 

Even if he never does a good film again, I will always like him because I like some of his past films.

I like Shyamalan. I loved Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, The Village and The Happening. Signs and The Visit were fine. Lady In the Water is his only movie that I truly disliked.

 

I can't wait for his 8th movie with Split.

Split could potentially be a great movie continuing Shyalaman's come-back (I liked the Visit a lot and Wayward Pines is a great show) or it could be a complete disaster based on that trailer. I don't know yet.

Looks like there's a Split pre-screening today. We might get some very early impressions on the film.

I saw the trailer before Bourne and it looked awful.  It may not BE awful, but the trailer sure looked that way.  IMHO.

First two reactions from the recent pre-screening of Split seem very positive.

 

Also, there will be a twist in the film (you don't say?), if we were looking for a further confirmation of that.
