Trek on the big screen is dead though, they should focus on their shows which are doing well.

The new head dude at Paramount is off to a bad start. D&D flopped, Transformers is about to flop and imo MI: DR will not reach its full potential.

Just saw it. It’s good actually. Probably my third favorite transformers after Fallen and Dark Side of the Moon. Full of actions and it’s quite good even though not as big, grand and epic in scale as Fallen, Dark Side and Age of extinction. No more shaky cams. More focused on the robots than humans. Not much of cringe human interactions like in Bayformers. Also more emotional.

This is not going to restart any franchise.

 

As someone who has seen all the previous films and love the Bumblebee stand-alone film, this was not a great follow up.

 

The action was pretty decent, but the 2 main actors are just so, so terrible. Not the the story was great to begin with, but the acting was next level bad. They need to stop casting Anthony Ramos in big movies, he isn’t a good actor.

Maybe I'm not paying enough attention with this franchise but why the heck didn't Paramount went ahead for a Bumblebee 2 with Haley Steinfeld and John Cena set in the early 90s?

 

I'm more emotionally invested with that cast than whatever they're doing here.

I think they should've.

 

Aside from Primal & Airazor, the other Maximals are glorified cameos and could've been cut out from the film with no consequence at all. I enjoyed the film well enough but this was something that could've been improved on.
