Our Brand Crisis wasn't even advertised.  I'd never heard of it until last week.  Doesn't matter who you are, no star is going to make  a film successful if no one knows it's coming out.

This Friday numbers are so darn uneventful.

I can't wait to see the upcoming theatre drops. Curse you CJohn for making me excited for this stuff!

Jem and Burnt have massive potential. Our Brand is Crisis and Rock the Kasbah will be epic as well but since their TCs are low the drops will never be as big.

Sandra Cooper, Bradley Bullock, their POWAH.

That movie opened to more than Burnt and Our Brand is Crisis combined. Kinda amazing.

Warner seems to be focused on BvS now.

Poor "The Walk". :( It has such good WOM from critics & audience alike, and it drops of that much in theater counts?? What the hell?

Three movies from this year in that top 10. We had some spectacular bombs so far. And Point Break is yet to come.

Financially, I would argue the biggest bomb of the year is Pan.

The producers of this one are probably bleeding somewhere right now.

This is interesting, Peanuts will be in over 3,800 theaters while Spectre is 3,600+.

I think maybe BlueSky wants the better advantage. And about Spectre's theater counts........it's surprisingly smaller than other blockbusters this year. At least some of the biggest movies of this year had around over 4,000+ theaters or more...and yet Spectre gets only around under that? What gives?

Yup, that shit is the biggest bomb of the year. Not even OS audiences cared. Even Jupiter Ascending and Tomorrowland didn't bomb so hard.

They are both gonna end with 4000 theaters. That is just an estimate.

I hope so too. :) The more theater counts a movie have.....the more advantages & higher OW the movie gets.

If this estimate holds/drops, Jem will have the 2nd worst weekend in over 2,000 locations, second only to the OW of Oogieloves. And that average is actually worse than Oogieloves.

It would be even more hilarious if the actual dropped below Oogieloves' $440k OW.

I think this will be the norm in the coming years. Movies lose theaters so fast. Some don't even last 2 months.
