I won't be surprised/shocked at a 7, I'll put it that way.  Anything much higher than high 7s though, and the Spock Eyebrow of Very Mild Astonishment will go up.

So in my area Pikachu did amazing in previews. All shows sold out in the evening across all 3 theaters. The audience I was in of over 250 all seemed to love the film, and it was a great film.

 

Will be going 2 more times to watch it! Tomorrow and Saturday.

You must be seeing some serious over indexing because even places like Empire 25 are getting nowhere near sellouts.

I can only say from amc in New York because that’s what I been checking but amc has been adding new shows throughout the night for detective pikachu due to the demand

Empire 25 had four near sellouts out of eleven shows for Pika Pika tonight. Those were the Prime shows. Digital did ok, but no near sellouts.

Strangely good hood for Endgame. Pikachu at less than 1/4 Endgame is a bit less than I thought, but doesn’t seem alarming.

RIP May 3rd openers. Pika’s share of Endgame roughly doubled from yesterday, seems not super bad and not super amazing. I’d be surprised by previews below 5 or above 8, but the movie still has me 🤷‍♂️

That is definitely WRONG. Inside out was at 35% end of thu MT and overtook JW friday morning. I myself was tracking it and I posted KJ thread where it was tracked.
