Thank You

I haven't posted in over a year (I think) but I accept this judgement as quite fair!  It says something when a person who doesn't post (me) feels annoyed enough that they are compelled to.  Anyway, thanks.  And...nice to see you as a moderator (dunno when that happened, but seems a good choice)

Overall it sold like 50K tickets between the 2 chains over past week. Not bad for a movie still more than a month out from the release. Since I have not tracked a movie like this plus there are so many unknowns(reviews) its hard to hone in on a OW number. I feel good about this having a great OW. what the number is we will know closer to release.

I don't think it is any coincidence that we have started to see an uptick in TROS presales (at least for the chains people are covering in this thread) around the same time Mandalorian premiered. With Mandalorian we are starting to see something that I have not really seen since I started following Star Wars fansites on the internet and that is that it almost unanimously seems to be being praised by the fan base (and with Star Wars fans that is a pretty hard goal to achieve).

The good feelings over Jedi: Fallen Order probably is helping as well.  Pretty rare for a EA Star Wars game to getting the praise it is.

From what I can tell, that is.  Since I'm still in the early stages of it, I'm trying to avoid spoilers so I haven't done a thorough check of things.  But if it's getting good to great reviews over at Steam (which thinks EA is the Great Satan) that says something in my book.

Frozen Previews update

AMC Prev - 47197/335429 (1692 shows) +3179
CIN Prev - 50299/386375 (2428 shows) +3302

Just around the same increase as yesterday. It seems so far off from Day 2 numbers.

AMC OD - overall 3833 shows 78479/793200 post 6PM 1826 shows 46924/380154 +9057
AMC D3 - overall 3756 shows 59128/776724 post 6PM 1656 shows 9435/347316 +4592

I will update CIN OD/D3 tomorrow. Generally OD > AMC OD and D3 slightly below AMC. AMC seems more tilted towards D2/D3 than CIN. Nothing changes my overall feel for this movie that I posted previously with D2 updates.

Legit surprised at the slight increase here from yesterday's ticket sales (61 yesterday for those not tracking). I kinda figured with Mando and Fallen Order coming out on that day, there would be a bit of a decline. Hopefully this will lead to good things for the following month.

2 missing numbers

CIN D3 - overall 4691 shows 60098/782461 post 6PM 1707 shows 4065/287131 +6166(5985)

Increases are better than previous day but this more than a day. Probably closer to 30 hours. Still previews are way weaker than even Day 3 sales. That shows its absolutely no point extrapolating this movie with just preview PS.

@keysersoze123 How is A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and Knives Out tracking?

Sorry for the delayed answer, but here in Philly, neither one's presales are amazing, at least for previews, but that's understandable since neither are designed to be presales monsters. However, Knives Out is only slightly less than double what Neighborhood has sold at this point (35 Neighbor, 66 Knives), and Knives is coming out a few days later.
