Looking at Christmas Day sales around here it does seem to be selling pretty well for the circumstances. But that doesn't mean a whole lot when so many theaters are closed and its gross will be handicapped because of everything.

WB has messed up by turning their whole 2021 slate into a complete non-threat to anything and making all of the dates they staked out into free-for-alls. Just watch Paramount move A Quiet Place 2 to the same weekend as The Conjuring 3 and see which one makes infinitely more money.

I hope this can out do expectations a bit(in the states)I know it’s not possible to open big at all, but if WB sees that people will still go to the movies with theatres open hopefully they rethink their strategy for next year for some of their bigger movies.

Those sales seem relatively good, but I do wonder how many will be cancelled due to further lockdowns in the next two weeks.

FWIW whenever I click on the Private Watch Parties it just names what movie you want to see and the price for it (a long list right now at some theaters because like 30 Christmas movies can be watched for the lower deals). They won't be of much help since they aren't part of the regular ticket sales.

I don't see any scope for a big increase in tickets sold and stuff, mainly because CA, NY, IL and many other big states are still closed and show no signs of opening up again. Will be hard to have big presale increases with limited markets, but maybe it can make it to 15M OW?

What a shame. This seems like will reach 20% occupancy.

 

I estimate $400k atleast by now. 13 days out, that's really nice.

9 days out early sneaks of TENET were $88k in MTC1. MTC 2 was $57k.

 

The final sneaks number was $1.55mn Approx. WW84 is currently double 4 days later but since Regal is closed, make it 1.25x ahead Approx. 

 

May be $3mn OD in USA is possible. Donno what's status of Canada now, if it's same as was during TENET, can expect 3.5-3.75mn OD may be.

It's not the same. Major provinces were fully open during TENET. They are currently closed and will remain closed until mid January.

We just got pvod option announced today ($29.99 rental fee) In Canada cause most theatres are closed.

oh yes. That is 2-4x the number sold. Sometimes there are group booking like 4 seats in a row. Then they block 2 seats o either side. Otherwise 2 seats booked then 2 seats blocked on either side.
