Cinemagic is an Atom partner.  They are currently running a 3 Tickets for $20 deal for Shazam OW.

THANK YOU for posting an Atom deal...I hadn't seen one yet, and I've been waiting to get tickets:)...

EDIT: And now of course, the offer is acting like buying an Endgame ticket at 8:01am Tuesday...it won't work!

Well all of this does seem a bit low for Shazam, which given its a CBM should be way less of a walk-up movie than say Pet Semetary. Heres hoping it maybe does get a lot of walk-ups.

Shazam — Thursday @ 2:45pm — 24 Screen Theater

IMAX (3 shows) = 260/453

Real 3D (4 shows) = 27/451

Digital (5 shows) = 96/691

Totals = 383/1595 (24.01%)

Your theatre is doing very good. 👍

Considering others are reporting only 6-10% occupancy.

Which area are you analysing?

Both, probably.

If this cracks 50M, I would be happy.

I'm going to proceed with caution here, but I don't see how Walk-Ups save Shazam the way they did with say Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.  JWFK didn't have to deal with another film, with basically the same target demos, sucking up all the air from the theater.  We also should consider that maybe after already spending $10 to $25 on tickets  -- depending on one's local -- someone might skip a movie this weekend due to their entertainment budget for that week's capped.

Speaking of entertainment budgets, I feel like part of the reason why Shazam presales are so low, and even why Shazam's looking to just do 55M at most, does have to do with people saving their money for Endgame. Even Dumbo to an extent got hurt by this. Now of course that's not the main reason why Dumbo underperformed. Reviews, mediocre ads, and the whole "people know Dumbo, but is it really that popular?" were all more impactful. But I think the impending monster that is Endgame must have played at least a tiny part of it. The target demos for these movies are either fanboys and/or kids, both of whom are the target audience for Avengers. The GA doesn't have that much disposable income, and I'm sure most of these movies' potential audiences are likely waiting and saving their money for the most anticipated movie of the year and just waiting for them to be available on video/streaming/TV.

It's kind of like how Spectre, Mockingjay 2, Peanuts and Good Dinosaur all underperformed relative to expectations, while TFA was coming a month later. Of course, TFA isn't the main reason these movies underperformed, but it certainly didn't help.

Even looking at Infinity War, it's no small coincidence that A Quiet Place, a movie that doesn't share that much of an audience with IW did fine, while Rampage went below expectations. Ready Player One, which opened on an identical weekend to Dumbo, having a similar opening and likely similar total to that film can't be a coincidence either.

Although weirdly enough, The Last Jedi can be considered the exception to the rule. Marvel's powah I guess?

Just outside of Houston for this particular theater.

I have seen so many of reporting Endgame opening night occupancy.

On average it is around 70% of tickets sold. This is absolutely crazy considering this is the 3rd day of presales.

So, when will theatre add more show for opening night?

On Tuesday before release or will they release new showtime before hand.
