It is very much like Les Intouchables/The Upside, they both "save" each other, the poor guy helping the rich one about being street wise, having fun, relationship, the rich one helping the poor one with educations, respecting the law, manners/civility and so on.

They both help each other. It's pretty equal in terms of who saves who in Green Book. Plus, it doesn't really matter...this is Tony Lip's story. No one ever said this was Dr. Shirley's story.
