It's only 2 mil away from making half of the first film. Should pass half of the second film by next weekend too.

And it doesn't sound disappointing at all that it'll eventually make 10m more than half of its predecessor.

Annabelle Comes Home is pretty disappointing. Better than the first but I guess people have lost interest in Annabelle franchise. That's why it'll make only half of the first two.

It was alright. The leads were likeable and the movie overall had some pretty good moments. It just got really hokey in the final act after a really good build-up.

Some of the business moved to the weekdays so TS4 will have close to 50% drop.

I2's 3rd Thursday - July 5th - was 7.2m (26% down from 9.65 Wed). It did +35.7%, +9.2%, -24.4% over FSS for a weekend of 28.4m.

TS4 is starting the weekend with a higher Thu of 7.74 being earlier in the run. With same FSS holds as I2 it's looking at 30.5m weekend, down 49%. If it recovers from whatever hit it took from FFH, then could do better.

29-32 is a safe bet, 46-51% drop. Is 27.74 away from 300m dom so that should be breached on Sunday even if it doesn't show a great hold on Friday.

302m after a 29m weekend puts in on track for 375m total. Would need to add 2.5x the weekend to it's cume.

so you are saying $400 M is out of reach ...

Right now Spider-Man: Far From Home is eyeing an estimated $26.5M Friday, +6% over July 4th, and a 4-day running total of $117.9M.  Saturday is a coin toss whether this continues to spike with family matinees, or remain front-loaded. The safe projection is at a 2.83 multiple off Friday which would bring Far From Home‘s FSS to $75M. Some see it as high as $81M, so we’re looking at 3-day between $166M-$173M at 4,634 theaters.

Again big difference from @Charlie Jatinder early number?

Not really... Deadline is saying $ 11.5M Friday for TS4. Could do $ 32-34M with this, which is just a 43-46% drop

But even with $ 30M, $ 400M could happen with good late legs.

Reading this thread and the analysis from you and a few others in the tracking thread and here, Deadline seems in line this time. However, that doesn’t mean it cannot go up significantly with the evening shows. This is its first Friday, so no telling how it will behave on weekends. I would also bet on a big Saturday regardless. That is a staple of MCU movies. In any event, 166-173 is a great start. That is unless you were one of the folks predicting 225-250. Clearly, it isn’t reaching that. But so what!
