Gaga as Harley is obvious perfect, grand slam casting from a commercial perspective. It is not that far off from them casting Jack Nicholson as Joker way back. It's going to make the buzz utterly erupt.

They'd be nuts to do that considering everything is falling into place for it to be the biggest movie of next year. Unlike most of its peers it's done filming and needs neither reshoots nor anything else that would require the services of the currently striking guilds. And said strikes will most likely be over by next October so press tours won't be an issue.

Yeah really bad  coming on top of Kevin Conroy.

Sorkin was not just the voice, she was an inspiration for Harley. She has a long standing role in the soap opera "Days of Our Lives" and in one episode she was in a dream sequence where she dressed as a harlequin.Paul Dini, head writer for Batman TAS actually was pals with Sorkin when they went to the same college together,and it clicked that someone dressed as a harlequin with an very UnHarlquin like New York Accent would be a fun sidekick for the Joker.

She also was a very good singer; her "Say We Are Sweetheats Again" in an episode of Batman TAS shows that. That songe is such a wonderful condesation of the whole Joker/Harley relationship.

No, because it's really not a superhero movie, not the Marvel/DC type people are accustomed to (and tired of) anyway.

Joker 2, Spider-Verse 3, and Batman 2 are immune to CBM fatigue as they have a distinct style and do not look like regurgitated schlock like movies such as Marvels, Flash, Quantumania, and more.

I still don’t think there’s anything “CBM” about the Joker movies besides borrowing characters with origins, but yes it will beat them all unless DP3 reception is incredible.  Even then, DP franchise has a lower cap than Joker 2 by all indications.

This far out, probably no. Probably just a poster like Blue Beetle last year
