This is perfect news, by the way...don't know how anyone didn't predict yet that they would go full musical!  Because rumors about Gaga's involvement have been around for months already, right?  

 

Think Sweeney Todd/Nightmare Before Christmas...lots of murder, mayhem, knives, glorious smiles.  

 

I kind of hated the first movie but bizarrely look forward to this take!  

 

By the way, THR notes that Phoenix still...hasn't...signed on.  So there's still time for you Gaga stans to hope that Phillips might have to turn this into a Harley Quinn R-rated solo musical.  😂

my guess is that the musical numbers will all be in harley quinn's head. like chicago. if it's entirely set in a mental institution it can be like Todd Philips' Sucker Punch in a way.
