John Marston Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 This was inevitable but I thought it would be from Blumhouse Quote
Krissykins Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 (edited) Spyglass....sigh. We know it doesn’t work for TV so let’s see. I wish it was Blumhouse. Edited November 7, 2019 by Krissykins Quote
SchumacherFTW Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 Let's leave Ghostface alone, please, for the love of god 1 Quote
Taylor Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 Deadline says it's Scream 5. https://deadline.com/2019/11/scream-5-in-early-development-spyglass-1202780706/ Hope the original cast (and Hayden!) return. Quote
Jonwo Posted November 8, 2019 Posted November 8, 2019 I wonder if Atomic Monster or David Sandberg could help with this given WB has a distribution deal with Spyglass and lending their key horror talent to Scream would be a huge help. I'd personally love to see a new Scary Movie. Quote

dudalb Posted November 8, 2019 Posted November 8, 2019 Ironic that what started as a movie parody of slasher films has become a major slasher franchise. Quote

They already did the "original cast reunion" for Scream 4 and it didn't do well. Doing it again but with everyone ten years older and no Wes Craven seems pointless. Quote
marveldcfox Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 Bombs away. Even I can manage spyglass better than that fool who is wasting his dad's money. Quote
Krissykins Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 (edited) I’d rather a new story. I don’t want anything to happen to the three original characters. And Neve said she wouldn’t do it without Wes. Scream 4 was already excellent at functioning as a sequel and a reboot at the same time. It was way ahead of its time too. And plays better now than it did in 2011. Not many films can claim that. Edited November 9, 2019 by Krissykins Quote
Jonwo Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 Maybe they should get Mike Flanagan to direct it. Quote
Krissykins Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 Personally, I’m really happy with the director choice here. I loved Ready or Not. 2 Quote
lorddemaxus Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 (edited) I don't think we really need anymore Scream films considering that Wes Craven himself died but these guys are great so why not. Edited March 12, 2020 by lorddemaxus Quote
filmlover Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 Ready or Not was one of the more clever horror/thrillers of the past decade so this gives me hope this will be good. Quote
Krissykins Posted March 13, 2020 Posted March 13, 2020 Update: Kevin Williamson is producing. Nice. 1 Quote
