I always have this mental image of Hollywood people doing movies like Sicario while 75% of the cast & crew smoke & share a nice joint in the evening to release tension from a good but tiring day at the office.

do u have a rolodex full of different hot takes that you gotta flip through every time certain films are mentioned? you've gotta be copying these it's incredible how many times you word for word say the same thing over and over again about certain films.

I don't know how much I'm allowed to write here and there isn't a review thread, so I'll just say that while it I still liked the film, I didn't like it nearly as much as the original.

JustWatch is great.  Always check it before renting a movie just to make sure that there's not a free alternative.

Villeneuve is a hot director right now and on a roll in terms of critical reception of his films. His last three films (Sicario, Arrival, and now Blade Runner 2049) have been perhaps his most critically acclaimed. Both Sicario and Arrival nabbed multiple Oscar nominations. And to have created a Blade Runner sequel that has somehow received great reviews, when the original is considered by many to be the greatest sci-fi film of all time, is pretty remarkable in itself.
