The entire movie was posted in 4K on Youtube 2 days ago by a brazilian account. The account in question said that they have the rights of the movie and that's why it was not taken down (1.5M views as of right now).

I'm so confused.

So it is safe to assume they will keep this in theater until then? No matter how minuscule the gross.

It lost 810 theaters last weekend. Was only playing in 110 theaters.

how well has way of water been doing on digital? are its sales reflective of (or consistent with) its 2.3 billion gross?

Well on Itunes its been out for 5 weeks, and its been no.1 for 4 of them, with Ant Man knocking it down to no.2 on its Itunes release. A2 back to no.1.

scream 6, Creed 3, etc, all have come and gone, some from the Top 10 while A2 is back at no.1 on its 5th week.

At least on itunes its making some serious bank.

I don't really understand the deal, how come Avatar 2 isn't made exclusive to Disney+?

HBO had streaming rights for FOX movies before the merger. Disney did a deal with them 2 years ago to share several movies between their streamers and HBO. AVATAR 2 is the last of these films. All 2023 films are Disney exclusives.
