Arrival seems to have fallen into a perfect virtuous circle with its numbers: excellent PTA = sustained theatre count = excellent PTA. No reason this can't continue for two more weeks with the empty calendar. I'm tracking this up to a 3.5 multi or pushing 85 million. And that's without Oscar nods.

 

The success is well deserved and bodes will for Blade Runner and Villeneuve's overall ascent.

Movies like this make me wish we all lived close enough together that we could all plan a BOT night to the movies, and experience a film like this together.

 

I mean, Ethan might have to sit in a different row if his balls were really going to be blown off. But it would still be fun

Knew the concerns about its drop last week were really overblown.

I completely get the criticisms some have about the ending, but I honestly just don't care. It is a singular experience and I'm still hyped for Blade Runner
