Speaking of Lion, seeing it in about 45 minutes.

@CJohn

Tele was a big fan. I was pleased.

And Schu thought A Monster Calls was one of the best of 2016. Do you plan on seeing it when it goes wide next weekend?

Not sure. Silence opens here next weekend and my movie funds have almost completely dried up. Might have to wait until it comes on HBO or whoever gets it.

I think mojo just forgot three zeros for overseas, supposed to be 350m through Sunday the first.

Given that I see another 100m from current markets, maybe up to 460m, plus China, plus 545 or more domestic, total about $1060m

I didn't see the movie, but as a chess player I am happy that even a small portion of people saw a little more of the beautiful world of chess :) . I wish more chess-related movies come in the future.

What's this movie about? I love chess.

I haven't seen it but from what I have seen it is about the life of Phiona Mutesi which is a chess master from Uganda. I want really wanted to check this but didn't have the time..

Also, I am glad to see that there is a fellow chess fan here :) . Hungary has a strong chess tradition!
