Yeah, they just want it to be released & done. I'm not sure their plans for an emoji cinematic universe though, have gone as well as they hoped to though.

WB should have switched the release dates of It and Annabelle 2. It would easily be number one for 4 straight weeks and made 200M domestically as there is almost zero competition.

God, this weekend is such a snorefest. They may as well have released Death Note to theaters. At least that movie had buzz going for it, not the good kind but still. Would've made a decent amount of money.

I wonder what numbers Death Note would make if it got a theatrical release. Honestly, I think it would probably be #1, considering the snoozefest of the year that is this weekend.

yeah i thought there'd be more too. the death scenes (especially the first one) are like the only times adam wingard gets to show the kind of playful skill at violence he did so well in the guest and you're next.

August and September sorta traded places this year. IT, Mother!, Kingsman 2, Lego Ninjago, and American Made will likely make more combined than the entire month of August altogether.
