Interesting about the deadline report, they mention that at today's rates and same markets, F8 opened to 171m, thats down from the 221.6m it did at 2017 rates in those same markets. Puts into perspective just how far ER has fallen in the last 2 years

77% (171/221.6) is quite surprisingly low considering that about no exchange rate in main market seem to be close to that level of change (even considering how important country Brazil must be for that franchise, still over that 77% figure):

Hearing bad stuff from people I follow on letterboxd too (even The Rock and Statham chemistry isn't that good). Men in Black International tier reviews coming in OOF

 

Sucks ass because Leitch is an action director with a lot of potential wasting his talent on these crappy blockbuster films.

Must say never impressed by is story telling aspect, John Wick worked well because of how simple it went for, but even then it was quite clunky after the dog killer get dealt with.

 

The main (only ?) think those crappy blockbuster have is the director after all, he had quite the cast/already established loved character to work with.
