If you were talking about rappers of the 80s to early 00s, I'd agree. But the rap music of today is absolute shit (with a few exceptions)!! Most of us black folks over 25 hate the trash it became!

I don't think rap is inherently good or bad. I'm not hip to the rap of today but I just figure I'm out of touch, not that it's bad.

But seriously my son joked that he liked FPS games was killing was fun.

 

I had to explain to him these games are made so people have no reason to explore these dark themes in real life.

 

That's how people should look at edgy music. 

 

A virtual reality to experience and relate to these terrible things without ending up on death row.

 

Most blacks and whites don't join gangs because of rap music, movies or video games.

 

It's entertainment. Or you can look at it as stories of good versus evil. 

 

Either way it's an interesting genre for me.

Nothing wrong with having your own taste in music no matter how unusual and/or non-mainstream it is. It's incredibly silly to judge people simply because they happen to not listen to whatever is currently mainstream and popular.

 

No reason to be judged based on small things such as what kind of music you like. People here keep making this same point over and over about it being OK to have your own movie taste so surely having your own taste in music should be fine too.

Really the only modern rap artists I like are Kendrick Lamar and Run the Jewels.  But I used to and still listen to RUN DMC, A Tribe Called Quest, Biggie, 2Pac, Black Sheep, the Pharcyde, Beastie Boys, Eric B and Rakim.

You guys have no idea. The worst rap music can be found here in Germany. "Deutsch-Rap" its called and everything about it is pure garbage. Many "songs" from popular "artists" are even straight-up racist and antisemitic. Some days ago - for whatever reason - two of the most controversial ones even received a music award (Echo), which was completely shut down in the aftermath because of the public backlash.

 

Generally, i hate rap and dont think its music at all. But im happy for everyone that can enjoy it.

 

Anyway, back to box office. I still dont see this opening higher than TFA. I will be very suprised if it does happen, but my prediction remains in the 220-230M range.
