Eternals | Marvel Studios | Nov 5 2021 | Magnum-Opus by Oscar winner Chloe Zhao - Marvel's first rotten movie | Dips into the 40s on RT, B CinemaScore

Recommended Posts

Reviews with grade is fresh if +60 and rotten if is -60. The only cases where the tone of the text matters is for reviews without grade or 6/10 reviews.

Doesn't really matter if the review is saying the movie is a mess and get lost like someone posted today if the person give it a 7/10, of course it will be fresh, as it should since nobody give a 7 for a movie they dislike, even if it have problems.

With more powerful recommendations like this, the Tomatometer will recover and the streak will be saved. Hype!

LMAO this is positve she gives some strengths but her general tone is negative she literally blasts the movie for the most part.

Some of the parameters she uses for her critic gave me a chuckle 😅.

So made some calculations

Shangchi has 312 reviews

BW has 434 reviews

Current positive reviews for eternals are 76.

Current reviews are 126

I'm going to say 200-250 reviews are left which will be my parameters. will use percentage of positive reviews (p.p)

200*p.p +76= ans/100*326

250*p.p+76=and/100*376

For if remaining 200 are;

50%  positive - 54%rt

55% positive - 57%rt

60%  positive -60%rt

65% positive -63%rt

70%  positive -66%rt

75%  positive -69%rt

For if remaining 250 are

50% positive -53%rt

55% positive -57%rt

60%positive - 60%rt

65% positive -64%rt

70%  ".         ".     -67%rt

75%.  ".         ".  70%rt

Note these are estimations but final scores will be within that range -/+ 1%.

This will most likely fall 55-65% positive range. 57-64% rt.

It's at 60% with 127 reviews. Will require 75% of the remaining reviews to be positive to hit 70%. Don't see that happening . Maybe 65% .

It could happen. As MuffinMan pointed out, critics are really warming up to this movie:

I still remember Demon Slayer getting 100% RT until a critic reviews by Indie Wire got rotten. Critics affect legs but audience &WOM are real heroes that drives the Box Office.

But legs do drive box office. Infact legs have more to do with audience and WoM than critics

Yeah, leg help film having poor start but there are some naive that see critics review as their own review. In other words, if someone see a bad review, they declined to visit theatres. For this reason, I don't like Critics (RTs, Metacritic, IMDB, Cinemascore...etc) in fact, some of them place their reviews without even watching the film.
