 yeah even with Mission Impossible the seaqualizer should have very good legs thanks to the great word of mouth is getting. Lol and DEadline had this movie tracking at 26 million two days ago. Who was the polling.

35 Years, 1st Sequel, Denzel still doing it big, hope the projections hold.  Good for Mamma Mia too, the ladies are coming out for sure.

it was probably tracking at 30m before, after they over shot skyscraper trackers overcorrect and get more conservative

Good weekend for box office for two films I was rooting for.  Excited to see Equalizer 2 tomorrow.

saw 10pm Friday night showing of Unfriended 2.  It was about as crowded as Phoenix Forgotten was opening night.  About 30 people in a 200 seater.  :-?

 

It was ok.  It was good, had some good technical moments, but I think this is the first 'thumbs down' from me for a theatrical release this year.  

I saw it on an empty stomach which means I was cranky the entire time (makes critiquing then an objective battle).  The material in the movie is generally upsetting, like the first one, and you have to work through it and leave the theater upset but still find a way not to trash it.  I left with a similar feeling after Hereditary so I gave it a B+ instead of having it be featured in my lifetime category of A-films.

Strong OW for both openers, particulary Equalizer 2.  Decent holds for HT3 (150-160m finish) and Ant-Man (200m) while JW2 and I2 keep showing sexy legs. 400m and 600m are certainly locked for both by now.
