Exactly. IT's the perfect summer horror movie (Yes I know September is still summer) I mean the story takes place during the kids summer break so an August release would have been perfect.

Yeah, WB definitely screwed up by not placing it in August. But it's still gonna be a big hit. I'm feeling like $200m could happen, the market will be absolutely barren by that time and people seem super pumped for this.

I disagree about the notion that this would have done better in August. This feels like a perfect back to school movie. It's got more of a Autumn feel to it than a Summer feel to it.

When my sister and I were about 8/6 maybe our mom told us to sit down in the living room and close our eyes.  When she told us to open them she was wearing this scary clown mask and jokingly scared us.  My sister has hated clowns ever since.  And while I don't hate them I don't need everyday exposure to them.

I'm kind of surprised that you feel this way. I know you like the book immensely. Did you not feel that this trailer really captured the tone of the book? Or is it just that you love the first trailer that much more?

oh I think it captured it very well.  I must have not put a little bit more in my first post.  It's not that I disliked this one or thought it was far worse than the first one.  Basically the first one is like 10/10 and this one is like 9.999999999999/10    so it's literally fractionally better for me
