SchumacherFTW
That's a depressing number for Monsters Inc. There's still no way I'm missing it when it opens in the UK though.
Elessar
As i wrote yesterday for the tuesday numbers: It's the first meh number since OD. Depending on how other movies increased, it could drop over 20% today. Back to I Am Legend territory.
Hatebox
I didn't even know Monsters Inc 3D was a thing. Good to see this 3D re-release bullshit is crashing and burning though.

Jake Gittes
That's great for ZDT. It's going to have insane PTA.Probably would have been the third $100k PTA movie this year if it had opened on Friday.

druv10
Pretty average for Hobbit. At this point it's all about holiday legs for it and next week is going to be very interesting for it. I just hope it can hit 350M domestically.

fishstick
I just hope it can pass FOTR.No. FOTR ending up the lowest grossing just because wastly inferior movie has IMAX + 3D premium and 10 years inflation and 12500 screens half of them empty would be disgusting. No. Just no. All TH movies under FOTR.

keysersoze123
Boxoffice @Boxoffice Sony estimates $124,848 for ZERO DARK THIRTY's opening day. That's a new unadjusted record for a Wednesday platform opening. Boxoffice @Boxoffice Wednesday domestic estimate: $6.3 million for THE HOBBIT. Domestic cume = $106.5 million. Jessie
I just downloaded Finding Nemo in 3D and its actually very impressive. The 3D is better than what I saw with TS3 and Up.
Gopher
Basically the same Monday to Wednesday retention percentage as I Am Legend. If it follows IAL from here- 6.34m Thursday (0.7%) 11.4m Friday (79.9%) 12.96m Saturday (13.7%) 10.65m Sunday (-17.8%) 35m weekend (-58.6%) With the family factor I expect stronger Thurs/Fri/Sat bumps but I could be wrong. It hasn't had an impressive daily hold in its run so far. Guilt Trip could rebound on Christmas but they were clearly going for the Focker audience here and they're not going to show up. And as I expected, MI3D won't do very well. No wonder Disney is canceling its upcoming 3D re-releases.
