In August it would get a big opening and great legs as there is nothing else there, and also get IMAX for 3-4 weeks. Now it will get IMAX for just one week before Pirates 5 and then Wonder Woman take IMAX screens away and with big movies releasing every weekend, legs will be at a premium as well. I agree. Big mistake. I guess they are hoping to get X-Men money from this. Edited December 9, 2016 by Heat Vision
MovieMan89
Another trailer coming soon? What the hell happened, did all the studios get together and decide on a 7 day period to dump every single trailer release for their first half 2017 films? Alli
Even though Prometheus was a mess, i'm still excited about this
marveldcfox
I have heard that this is your typical horror action sci-fi with lots of blood, carnage and violence, but with great production values, which you expect from a Ridley flick. The acting ranges from mediocre-very good. Some scenes will remind you of a B/semi porn horror flick. Not sure which trailer they will be release pg-13 or R or both. Bleh, who wants that from a Ridley Alien film? The first certainly didn't get to be a classic by way of blood and gore. If that's true then I will easily prefer Prometheus over this. All I ever wanted from this was Prometheus 2 with better written characters.
Goffe
It will be indeed disappointing if this ends up being just another run-of-the-mill horror movie.
MovieMan89
Ridley needs to keep the tradition of just that one big gory scene in these films (chestburster, c-section), which makes a lot more impact than a bunch of gore throughout. Hatebox
Just give me a suspenseful cat-and-mouse setup surrounded by atmospheric sets. This doesn't need an elaborate mythology. Edited December 10, 2016 by Hatebox
Cochofles
I am a huge fan of Alien and Aliens, and I am still clueless as to why they keep unearthing the dried-up carcass of this franchise just so they can unleash yet another mediocre entry that audiences quickly forget. Same thing happens with the Terminator series... Just let it go, Hollywood.
