Plus, The Rock's had his missteps, like Skyscraper. Jungle Cruise will be much more strong domestically than Skyscraper , i will be surprised if It don't make at least $150m Dom. Jonwo
Jungle Cruise does look good but I think it's going to be a moderate hit than a huge smash.
meridan
WW84 Prediction: $372M Domestic $417M Overseas $789M Worldwide I don't believe for a second that this movie will live up to its predecessor. Which means a lower domestic multiplier than the first and not much growth overseas. Edited December 2, 2019 by meridan Soft

I'll eat a pair of my own underwear if it goes that low overseas. I dont think it'll go that low domestic either but your overseas prediction sticks out to me more. I looked at the overseas data from the first film and I can't really see which markets will have a substantial growth for the second film. It's going to do fine in Mexico, Brazil, UK & Australia. The main problem will be Italy, India, Russia & the Asian (China, Japan, South Korea) market. Royce
BW and Bond 25 seem like they're gonna rule next year, the peak of spy films coming after the peak of superhero films (2018-2019) perhaps? Minions 2 will also be a spy film, kiddie version (literally with kid Gru) Those are most likely the top 4 WW along with Mulan... Disney screwed up the release date. Jungle Cruise looks to be almost the perfect type of holiday release movie similar to the new Jumanji's, National Treasures and Night at the Museums. In the summer it is competing to be peoples first choice while the holidays its the acceptable choice for entire families. I really do think a summer release is costing them 50 million or more of potential box office.

I know it sounds silly but it's a real factor. Jungle Cruise feels like the kind of movie audiences will just gravitate to in the middle of summer.
