For the record, i didn't send in my list and i would have definitely place Titanic's as my 1st place.

But that is it, i don't find other JCs film and their score  has exerted that kind of fathom on me.

Top 100 movie characters would see Ripley, Rose, and Terminator models drop a few places each and the Avatar characters disappear completely. 

 

My Heart will Go On would also drop a place or two in the song list. 

As for this one, I would personally take JCS' list, multiply all the poitns earned by say 2.5 and deduct that from each film. 

 

(as there may be a few folks that articficially lower their own Cameron rating these days to counterbalance the overvotes from that gang of 3.)

What's really interesting -- which I don't have data on -- is how CLOSE was #101, 102, and 103?  Because those three movies took MASSIVE hits.  Life of Pi was the last entry on the list with score 46 Points from 10 Votes. 

 

TFA adjusts to 43 points from 12 votes. 

TLJ adjusts to 40 points from 10 Votes. 

Avatar adjusts to 38 points from 11 votes.

 

The Avengers, LA Confidential, and No Country for Old Men might've ACTUALLY made it.  But LOOOL.  The Big Lebowski would've then been 101.

So my decision is, because the triple deduction of JCS' list would be both overinclusive and underinclusive, that I would like to try and have everyone else re-send me their lists, if they have them saved either in PMs or in the Submission Thread, or recreate them as accurate as possible. 

 

There won't be a countdown, just a posting of the re-oriented Top 100.

It appears that at least 2 of the lists submitted to me were from fraudulent double accounts of the user JamesCameronScholar. If this had been caught in time by the mod/admin staff, I would simply reverse the points those lists contributed. However, the PMs these duplicate accounts had sent me I had long deleted, as the tabulations for the countdown were complete. JamesCameronScholar did post his own Top 10 in the original submission thread. Though the PMs from the two fake accounts no longer exist, both were heavily skewed to favor and reward certain film scores, namely James Cameron films, and to a lesser extent other James Horner scores.

 

I am going to take a little time to decide how to best handle this, but all options are on the table, from deducting all points awarded by JCS' submission at the minimum, to at the most punitive, to simply DQ all James Cameron films from the countdown. The makeup of the countdown, in particular the Top half of the countdown, would be radically different but for those 2 fake account submissions.

 

There will be further updates once I reach a decision. Feel free to offer suggestions as to how to handle this.

Was there a question for me?  I haven't looked at this thread for some days, spending all my time on the top 100 B&W one, and now that I return I see that some cheating has been committed.  I then see that my user name was brought up on a list for questioning for some reason.  If any info about me is needed, then ask away.

BTW.  I would like to see the list reposted, with the bogas votes tossed out.  I guess that  would be a lot of work though.

It was decided those who sent in lists just re-send them and it will be recalculated.

I see, and will resend my list later.  I'm doing this at work, from my phone and this thread is very hard for it to display, much less message from, but I will look back at the last 4 pages to get the full scoop.
