That's not true tho. Pretty sure this is the first time we've gotten official confirmation about a finished script.

So we have a finished script so Phillips and Silver worked on this for a long time...kinda makes you think, considering the title, if there was some credibility to the Lady Gaga rumors. 

 

There are some exciting possibilities with this one but I remain very cautious. I love the first movie so much that I am kinda afraid for this to ruin all the good will.

Doubt Phillips would show that picture if it wasn’t happening, also, I can’t remember which trade it was but one stated yesterday the deal is “close to being done”.

Joker 2019 was actually my top movie of the year, yes, ahead of parasite. But somehow I am not looking forward for this one, because to me the last one was an accidental success.
