Plain Old Tele
Watched California Split (1974) on Prime. I’ve always heard a lot about it but it was never available before. Fantastic low-key grimy story — really nails the highs and lows of hanging out in casinos. George Segal is really good but Elliot Gould takes it to another level. Blink and you’ll miss a Jeff Goldblum appearance.

Gamora
Over the last three weeks I've been rewatching Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman because it was one of my favourite shows as a kid and I need some nostalgic comfort viewing right now. Plus I probably haven't watched my DVDs in at least a decade so I figured I should go through them again. And man, every episode is like a warm hug and usually has me grinning at the end of it (and several times during it), so I'm having a great time. Just finished the S2 finale and I'll probably watch another couple of episodes tonight. It's so very '90s but that's exactly what I want right now. Dean Cain is sexy af (I had a huuuge crush on him of course), Teri Hatcher is amazing as Lois (and shout out to her for getting the Starring title added in the second season, because she most definitely is the lead along with Clark/Superman), and the SFX are absolutely laughable but I don't give a single fuck. Inject this cheesy goodness straight into my veins. On 5/12/2020 at 2:04 PM, DeeCee said: Who else randomly starts wondering why people are standing so close together on tv shows/movies? There's an informant on the show that pops up occasionally that they buy fast food for as payment for information and yesterday there was an episode where he was eating and talking to Lois on a payphone. Using both hands, eating while touching the payphone and swapping hands while doing so and I was pretty much dying inside. Seems like a bad idea at any point in time, but right now?

lorddemaxus
Movies: Scoob! - 4/10 Tv shows: Lost Season 1 and 2 - Only reason I watched only Scoob! last week is because I was binge-watching this. I really enjoyed these two seasons and I can see where they are going with season 3 but I have no clue how they are gonna stretch this for 3 more seasons. I'm really surprised I haven't gotten burned out yet since both season are really long but the show has managed to kept itself interesting for longer than I expected and I'm excited to see where it goes. @TMP Daddy Lindelof is a TV god. Run episode 5 - This took a really unexpected turn and got more darker than I expected it to. And Waller-Bridge is also pretty hilarious this episode. Mrs. America episde 6 - Not much really happens this episode. Tiger King episode 3 - Finally finished this episode and I'm done watching this garbage, manipulative "documentary" show. Clearly cares more about creating crappy drama than getting the facts out. No wonder this show is loved so much and no wonder Carole Baskin gets more hate than Joe Exotic and the creepy sex cult guy (both of them are much worse than her but are getting treated as celebrities while she's getting death threats). The people behind this show are assholes and the show is also really, really boring. 2/10 Games: Wolfenstein Old Blood (replay) - Finished 75% of the game a couple of years ago but I for some reason never finished. Replayed it last week from the start and much shorter game than I remembered. Uncharted (replay) - Fun game but the controls are pretty bad and the platforming sections are way too easy. Not as good as the first time I played it. The Evil Within - The chainsaw guy in this is the absolute worst 1

Haven't gotten around to season 2 but I think I will soon. I didn't love it yet (last 3 episodes were brilliant though) but I heard the 2nd season is better so maybe I'll love it once I get around to season 2. It’s not that the second and third seasons are less bleak, but Lindelof & Co add a rich vein of black humor which just take the material to a new level. S2ep8 is one of my favorite hours of TV ever. TwoMisfits
So, the spouse and I actually made it though episode 2 of Stranger Things season 2...it's still going slow, and feels like we're epiloguing season 1...but I guess at some point it will pick up past pumpkins... Other things I watched this week...ummm...somehow not much (I'm watching the new daily show Masterminds on GSN, which is pretty much Ken Jennings and the pips showing why Ken Jennings is still the master mind of all things trivia - I've literally yet to see a mastermind beat him or a contestant beat him...he's that good - it makes for a very cheap show that way, although I bet Ken is getting a hefty appearance fee compared to everyone else:). I'm working on buying a car, so I didn't even finish MI:6 yet...I hope to do that today:).

RealLyre
Lost has a great first 3 seasons and a pretty decent 4th and 5th seasons, and a nice final episode but that's about it 1
filmlover
The Leftovers will definitely go down as one of the shows everyone slept on when it was airing. Seems ridiculous that it only managed a single Emmy nomination in its entire run (and even that was likely just a nom for Ann Dowd, who won Drama Supporting Actress for The Handmaid's Tale that same year).

The Panda
Four episodes into season 3 of Westworld. The season so far is... not good. Yet for some reason I can’t help but keep watching the stupid fuckery Nolan lesser has in store.
junkshop36
Watched Knives Out for a second time. My wife watched it with me for the first time. She thought it was really good. I decided to start watching Star Trek: Discovery season 2. I’m enjoying it a lot more than season 1 and Picard.

Julian1410
I’ve watched The Leftovers two times. It’s the kind of show you could watch over and over and still discover new things. Absolutely brilliant all around

Now it's just another generic sci-fi show.
