Oh, are they? I think my NWH bet with @ZackM was pretty widely known and I didn’t hear anything about it. But if it’s discouraged I can use wokj instead or whatever.

Well, it was under prior administrations.  Usually they got converted into board bets for various premium accounts which helped keep the site running.   Ie winner of the bet gets silver/copper/green/gold for x amount of months and the loser of the bet gives the money to the site to pay for it. No idea if that's still the case tho, as I'm not trying to backseat mod here.

Hell, sometimes the floodgates were opened in a man against the board type deal when folks were really confident and wanted the site to get a lot of server dollars.

What's your very with Zack? We don't allow betting here for more than gold accounts and stuff. We aren't a sportsbook

We bet $100 on whether NWH would open over TA. Thanks for clearing that up, no more bets here then 👍

This doesn’t seem like the kind of movie that would get an A+ on Cinemascore. I’m expecting an A- or something. I just hope it isn’t a B+.

Feel like A is pretty obvious from franchise history. A- if something goes wrong.

Wait, have we reached a point where we are talking about Cinemascore before even getting social reactions?

Just seems like reaching for something to say at this point.

It won't matter. Joker got a B+, so it won't be the end of the world.

Is it unusual to talk about likely/potential cinemascore and the possible implications thereof before social reactions? Seems normal to me.

There’s just not much to say here though — it looks good, people are excited,  last 3 Batman solos were A 🤷‍♂️

It's just that normally we don't see that discussion till the social reactions come out at the very least.

Like with The Green Knight, the discussion of a Cinemascore didn't start till we found out there was a scene where the lead cums on his hand through social reactions.

If Pattinson does that then this is an A+ for sure.

Lmao, I hadn’t heard about that scene before :hahaha:

It makes sense that there would be increased discussion right after reactions drop of they surprise (positively or negatively). But it also feels like a natural thing when people are discussing the potential legs.

I'm still very bullish on this OW. I'm slightly worried about Omnicron, but by then probably it will have played out. Obviously this isn't hyped like NWH but Batman is a huge ass IP and this looks like a Batman film done right. This is getting a big opening. My range is $185-$225

Joker was a phenomenon OS. No 3D, no PG-13, no China, yet it outgrossed the likes of BP, CM with China and a large number of movies if China is removed from the total. FFH wouldn't even cross 1B w/o China while Joker did it. It was also very cheap (55M budget before P&A I think). So it could afford B+ type of dom WOM.
