The first Venom opened with 80M and had a 35M 2nd weekend (-56%). Its competition was a Star is Born 2nd weekend and not a Bond movie opening.

There is probably legal issues with doing that. contracts. and it's just to late to try renegotiating. Anyways Dune is getting fantastic buzz atm, still probably going to be thier biggest film since GvK. but yeah it sucks. instead of it maybe hitting $200m. it will have to go all out to hit $100m.
